Your NodeLink NX1 Home Station has arrived. Good news: setup is short. According to the official activation guide, you need about 5 to 10 minutes and no technical skills. This NodeLink NX1 setup guide walks you through each step, then covers the most common problems and how to fix them. I am Jean-Michel Nguyen, official NodeLink trainer at AdagioLegacy.
Before you start: check your internet connection
The NX1 shares internet capacity, so your connection matters more than anything else. The official network rules are:
- At least 200 Mbps per machine.
- A wired Ethernet connection as the main link (not Wi-Fi).
- Maximum 5 machines per internet connection (IP), whoever owns them, in every country.
A machine that is offline earns no rewards, and insufficient bandwidth can reduce rewards by up to 15%. Source: Hosting limits (wiki).
What you need
- The HMall activation email, titled « Your activation keys for the Nx1 Home Station ».
- Your NX1 serial number: on the label under the machine, on the CH line. It has 8 characters, starts with CH, and is case-sensitive.
- A LAN (Ethernet) cable and a free port on your router.
- Access to app.nodelink.now with the email used for your hmall.shop order.
- 5 to 10 minutes.
NodeLink NX1 setup: step by step
1. Connect the NX1 to your router
Plug the NX1 into your router with the LAN cable, connect power, and briefly press the power button. The first boot takes 2 to 3 minutes.
2. Check the LED
A white LED means the machine is connected. A red LED means there is a fault (see troubleshooting below).
3. Open App Centre
Log in to app.nodelink.now with the same email you used on hmall.shop. Go to App Centre and find your machine with the status Pending Activation.
4. Enter the serial and the key
Type the CH serial number exactly as printed, paste the activation key from the email, and click Activate.
5. Confirm the Active status
Machine statuses follow this order: Pending Allocation, In Transit, Pending Activation, Active. Once your NX1 shows Active, you are done. You can follow its status, CPU, memory and uptime in the Node Centre. Source: NX1 activation guide (wiki).
Troubleshooting common NX1 issues
Red LED
Turn the NX1 off, wait 10 seconds and turn it back on. If the LED stays red, contact support.
« Invalid key »
Copy and paste the key directly from the email instead of typing it, and check that the key matches this specific machine.
Not Active after 10 minutes
Refresh the page. If it is still not Active after 24 hours, open a ticket at support.nodelink.now with your order reference and machine ID.
Machine keeps going offline
Check the LAN cable, try a different router port, and check your router’s limits. After a power or internet outage, the NX1 resumes automatically.
Tips for a stable NX1
- Place it near the router: a short, good-quality Ethernet cable avoids most offline issues.
- Check your status first: before contacting support, look at the machine status in your dashboard and Node Centre.
- Count your devices: if friends or family also host an NX1 on your connection, remember the limit of 5 machines per IP.
- Keep your emails: save the HMall activation email and your order reference; support will ask for them.
- Use official channels: all official NodeLink links are on linktr.ee/Nodelinkofficial.
After setup: what happens next
No daily action is needed. Rewards are calculated daily in NLK and appear in your dashboard; they depend on real network usage and are not guaranteed. To understand levels, locked rewards and withdrawals, read How does NodeLink work? You can also install apps on your NX1 through the App Centre (Vaultwarden, HashiCorp Vault, Stirling PDF, AdGuard Home), so your data stays at home. If you move, even abroad, you can take your NX1 with you as long as the network rules are respected. For the full overview, see NodeLink & DePIN explained.
